Salsa Verde

Salsa Verde

Need an all-purpose sauce that works with almost any meal? Try this Italian style Salsa Verde, a green sauce made from herbs, capers, garlic, and olive oil.

Herb based condiments add a ton of flavor and color to your food. Since the foundation of my dinners are simply prepared quality proteins, I like having something extra to brighten it up (read more about my go-to formula for weeknight meals). This salsa verde is one of our favorites since it works well on almost any food, from poached salmon and rotisserie chicken to grilled hamburgers and avocado slices.

Hi Lisa–I’m new to your blog and just followed you on twitter. I stumbled upon your website because of your Complete Guide to Fats & Oils–which is excellent! Thank you for compiling that. I’m a believer in your healthy, natural, nutrient-dense food philosophy and I’ve been enjoying going through your recipes. This salsa verde recipe looks great, btw. I’m always looking for interesting ways to use cilantro and lemons. Looking forward to reading more!
